THE SLS

Developed by Mercedes-AMG as a clean-sheet successor to the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300SL, the SLS was the first automobile designed and engineered entirely by AMG.

Under its exceptionally long hood sits AMG's hand-built M159 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8, producing 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted 7-speed dual-clutch transaxle.

No turbochargers. No hybrid assistance. No artificial soundtrack.

Just one of AMG's greatest naturally aspirated engines in one of the most distinctive chassis Mercedes-Benz has produced in the modern era.
